What Are The Side Effects Of Taking Fasigyn-ds?

Dear Sir, I am suffering from colitis/IBS/IBD. Gastroentrolist Dr, said me to take Fasigy-DS daily one tablet after dinner for 10 days along with Entero quinol 3 times daily. Is there any side effect of taking Fasisgyn-DS ? I am having burning feeling in stomach ans some time pain in back head, as well some burning in eyes also. Even some time I can not sleep more then 3 hrs. Please guide me. There are more 3 days to finishing 10 fasigyn-DS. Thanking You.

Hello,

The tablet Fasigyn DS contains Tinidazole. Common side effects of tinidazole may be nausea,metallic taste in mouth. Burning sensation in stomach may be due to gastritis. You may consider starting antacid tablets for symptomatic relief. Headache and burning sensation in eyes may be due to fatigue, stress. Take adequate rest and maintain proper hydration. However if symptoms do not subside,substitution of Fasigyn DS may be needed. You should also keep a watch on your body temperature.
