What Are The Side Effects Of Smoking?

I am Very scared and worried about my father, He is 57 and has been smoking for over 40 years, he is over weight, and is sick on and off but the last two weeks have been very bad, he is tired all the time weak, dizzy, coughing, but today he just coughed up blood it was a mix of flem and blood but I am very worried and he is to scared to go to a hospital please help me and maybe give me answers on what I should do or what could be wrong with him
