Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello Doctor, I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism in 2009 since then i am using levothyroxin 50mg but still i have lot of thyroid symptoms like weight gain ( I almost increased 30kgs), sleeping disorders, dry skin ,and hair loss can i get any NDT medicines or T3 included supplement to get rid
If your TSH is within the target range, these symptoms cannot be attributed to either hypothyroidism or the pill. If your TSH is higher than normal then the symptoms you've described and more may occur as a consequence of poorly controlled hypothyroidism.
Supplements and other medicines cannot help you at this point. A diagnosis is required first. You should discuss the matter with your primary care physician. Be sure to include all the details about your health and symptoms though.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
