Hi,

Your symptoms might be due to the over-usage of hydrocortisone cream. Common side effects of hydrocortisone includes:
- Skin blistering, burning, crusting, dryness
- Also, irritation, itching, scaling, severe redness, soreness, or swelling of the skin
- If used on the face it might cause redness, scaling around the mouth, easy bruising

I advise you to report to your doctor and stop using the cream. You can try other alternatives like:
- Fluticasone cream at night
- Tab. Prednisolone 5mg for 10 days on tapering dose

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Yogapriya Vasudevan, General & Family Physician
