can acupuncture on the feet cause nerve damage? if so, would it be temporary?I met with an accident almost 2 years back and fractured my 5th metatarsal in my left foot that healed early and well. I had a bit of pain in both feet prior to that, in both my feet due to high arch problems. so I tried about 6 sessions of acupuncture, the last of which was on my feet. The needle insertions on my right foot did not hurt but the two needles in my left foot caused me to yell and they bled a bit as well. this was on Saturday afternoon, Sept 5th. The pain started soon after but it had escalated by Wed-Thursday. sometimes it feels like a ton of bricks is weighing my foot down and find it difficult to lift my foot. Motrin, oil massage and rest seem to help temporarily. trying to figure the pain? your feedback is much appreciated. maybe you will need more information from perhaps an xray or an mri to rule out arthritis and such. but going back to the initial question, could acupuncture have contributed?......Thank you.
