Hello ma'am and welcome.

Folic acid and iron supplements cannot have any side effects while you are trying to conceive. They are solely prescribed to prevent congenital deformities in the baby called neural tube defects. Please do not hesitate to take them or discontinue taking them till at least 3 months into your pregnancy.

Hope this helps.

Best wishes.
