What Are The Side Effects Of Emergency Contraceptive Pills?

I am currently on birth control pills & have been for the last 4 months, before that I had the IUD Mirena for 2 years. I am very good at taking my pills on time & have never had any problems. Yesterday I forgot to take a pill & today I have had some brown spotting & light cramping. I am currently in the middle of my pack of birth control pills & I am now going on my 3rd month of not having a menstrual period. I m sure the brown spotting is most likely old blood from not having periods but I just wanted an expert to tell me if I have anything to worry about.

If you are taking birth control pills regularly with a break period of 7 days, you should have a withdrawal bleeding after 2-3 days of stopping the pill. You said that you have not bled for 3 months. Here I would like to ask you if you are taking pills continuously for last 3 months or you had a pill-free 7 days every month?
As far as the brown spotting is concerned, it should be withdrawal bleeding which should not be worried about.
