Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am having sweats 3 times a night. Maybe a side effect of chemo but my doctor doesn t think so. Any ideas on how to eliminate this issue? You wait till the end to tell me I have to pay. Deceptive. All that money goes to cancer but us patients don t seem to get a break
Some types of cancer cause night sweating without a certain known mechanism.
During cancer treatments, you may use drugs that alter hormones like tamoxifen or letrozole and they cause sweating.
Also, morphine can cause night sweating. You can do some tips to help you.
Sleep in a well-ventilated room. Keep room temperature cool. Use cotton sheets. Use cotton cloths. Don't drink hot teas or drinks before bed. Don't eat spicy foods or alcohol before bed.
Hope I have answered the question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka,
