What Are The Side Effects Of Caesarean Section?

Hi, I had c section 4 weeks ago, for some few days I am having hot and cold flashes. Yesterday I had fever but after taking ibubrofen it went away. My incision is good. The only thing I am lacking is sleep and not able to eat properly. I want to know if this is normal or I need to worry?

Hi,

Fever after 4 weeks of ceasarian section, without any pain or swelling of stitch line, could be infection in uterus / breast inflammation, in case you are feeding / infection in any other part of body. The cause needs to be evaluated by extensive physical examination and needful investigations. Paracetamol over the counter would help in controlling fever. Additional antibiotic can be given according to site and extent of infection. Please consult your family physician / gynecologist.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
