What Are The Side Effects Of An Electric Shock?

Tonight when changing a lightbulb the bottom half of the bulb, the metal part broke off. I shut the switch off and used a potato and needle nose pliers with rubberized handles as the metal part was logged in the socket. After getting the metal part removed from the socket, I went to insert a new lightbulb when my boyfriend accidentally threw the switch on since he was not paying attention and I got zapped. I immediately let go of the pliers and light bulb. I received no burns, but right after I was shaky and my heart rate jumped from 90 to 117. Should I be concerned? I am seeing a cardiologist anyway tomorrow for a checkup.
