is amberen safe and does it really work, im a wlder in full gear and im 50 yrs old the hot flashes and no sleep are not only miserable but dangerous since i weld in buildings that are very high is there anything else i can do over the counter stuff does not work

Amberen is not a medication rather a dietary supplement. The claims have been made that it has been tested properly and is efficacious. But dietary supplements does not undergo vigorous clinical testing as mandated for FDA for drugs.
So if the Amberen over the counter product doesn't work, I would advise you to consult doctor and get prescriptions that will help in reducing your hot flashes. You will be prescribed estrogen containing medications and they are prescription drugs and not over the counter ones.
