Hi,

Alphadopa (Methyldopa) is used to treat high BP during pregnancy. Common side effects include dizziness, lightheadedness, fatigue, and dry mouth. Rarely, it can cause liver problems or a decrease in white blood cells. However, it is generally considered safe for use during pregnancy.

Ecosprin (Aspirin) is used to reduce the risk of blood clots and complications in women with certain medical conditions, such as SLE nephritis. Common side effects include upset stomach, nausea, and heartburn. Rarely, it can cause serious bleeding problems. The use of aspirin during pregnancy is generally considered safe at low doses, but high doses can increase the risk of complications.

Clexane (Enoxaparin) is a blood thinner used to prevent blood clots. Common side effects include pain and bruising at the injection site, as well as bleeding and a decrease in platelet count. However, it is generally considered safe for use during pregnancy.

Iron and calcium tablets are often recommended during pregnancy to support fetal growth and development. Common side effects of iron supplements include constipation and nausea, while calcium supplements may cause gastrointestinal upset.

It is important to follow your doctor's instructions and continue taking these medications as prescribed. The risks and benefits of these medications will vary depending on your wife's individual medical history and current condition. It is also important to attend all prenatal check-ups to monitor the health of the baby and ensure a safe pregnancy.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Priyanka, General & Family Physician
