Hi,

As of date Adderall has been approved to treat attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and narcolepsy. Its common side effects include insomnia, loss of appetite / weight, increased heart beats / blood pressure, dry mouth, headache, nervousness, irritability, impotency, and both physical and psychological dependence.

Its withdrawal may cause unpleasant symptoms the severity of which will depend upon the average amount of drug being used / abused, amongst other variables but on the whole, they are typically less dangerous than the risks posed by continued abuse.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Mohammed Taher Ali, General & Family Physician
