What Are The Side Effects Of Vagifem, An Estradiol Vaginal Tablet Prescribed Instead Of Estring ?
I'm concerned about Vagifem, an estradiol vaginal tablet prescribed to me in place of Estring, b/c it's cheaper. My new insurance co. covers it. But I have side effects. Three times I have had to quit the process of getting up to a therapeutic level. I am planning to be married in a few months, so I want to get this right before he arrives from India. I am 55, so I have used IUD between my babies and then Estring for 2 years w/0 problems.

Majority of my patients using vagifem are doing well( don't report any side effects), however few have reported breast pain, breast enlargement, nausea headache, thick white vaginal discharge without smell and vaginal itching.
