General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello, my name is Dr.Dorina Gurabardhi. I understand your concern.
Some of the side effects of telmisartan are:
-dizziness,
-lightheadedness,
-blurred vision
-back pain as your body adjusts to the medication.
- stuffy nose,
-sinus pain,
-cough,
-stomach pain
It is normal that when you change a medicine your body may need some time to adapt with the new drug.If you have any serious side effects, such as:
-feeling like you might pass out;
-painful or difficult urination;
-chest pain;
-feeling short of breath, even with mild exertion;
swelling in your hands or feet; or
-high potassium (slow heart rate, weak pulse, muscle weakness, tingly feeling) see a cardiologist to change the drug.
Hope my answer was helpful, if you have any other questions I'll be glad to help, thanks!
