Just wanted to know more about the safety of Renevive. Will it harm the kidneys with exposed use? Will it harm more than the kidneys and cause other problems like cancer? Why isnt this sold OTC? What is the best medicine for kidney stones that is sold OTC?

Hello,

Renavive is used for kidney stones. Though it is popular among many sufferers, I could not find any good study about its safety or efficacy.
If stones are recurrent, a metabolic disease or a structural problem in the urinary tract need to be excluded.
Small stones may pass with increased water intake and use of alkaline citrates. Avoid aerated drinks.Barley is another home remedy often used.
Many of my patients take an OTC product from India called Cystone and have brought and shown me stones, they passed subsequently.
Hope you get well soon.
