What Are The Side Effects Of Omnacortil Syrup?
Dear Doctor My son is 1 year 3months old and since he was 8 months after 1-2 months he got u.r.I. and doctor says it is bronchiolitis and puts him on levolin 0.31mg nebulization 4 times a day ,but this time due to more severity he had also added omnacortil syrup 5ml 3 times a day.sir please let me know about the side effects and whether treatment is fine or not.

The doctor has correctly prescribed you medicines for brochiloitis. In brochiloitis, nebulisation may be required for upto 1 week and if symptoms are more than steroids can be added for 3-4 days. Steroids like omniacortil reduces inflammation and results in early recovery of child. However, they should not be continued for long periods. I hope this has helped you. Take care.
