What Are The Side Effects Of My Way Emergency Contraception?

I took a My Way emergency contraception dose on Thursday last week. Starting last night (Tuesday), I noitced a bit of stomach upset, cramping, back pain and bloating. This morning, after urinating, I noticed a fair amount of dark brown discharge. Today, I am still experiencing these period like symptoms and have noticed a bit more of the same dark brown discharge. My last period ended last Monday (over a week ago), so I am not due to start again for a couple weeks. Are these common side effects of this medication?

Hello!
These are normal adverse effects of emergency contraception(EC). The side effects of EC are divided in early effects mostly gastrointestinal effects: nausea, vomiting and vaginal discharge (blood) and late effects with menstrual cycle abnormalities: change in the time of periods, more or less period etc. If you see that these problems are becoming greater you should see your doctor. But i will consider normally sides effects all these problems that you described, but If they last please contact your doctor.
