What Are The Side Effects Of Montek LC In A Kid?
My doctor had advised Montek LC Kid and Flomist nasal spray for my 5 1/2 yr old daughter after she underwent surgery about 5 months ago for adenoidectomy and grommet insertion. After taking the drug for roughly 30 days she has developed severe rash over her legs till waist and over her arms with swelling/inflammation and pain. Can this be regarded as a side effect of Montek LC Kid. What are the options available now?

The cause of rash is unlikely to be due to Montek LC kid. It contains Montelukast (its a mast cell stabilizer and acts indirectly as anti-inflammatory) and Cetrizine ( antihistaminic which is useful in allergic reaction).
The cause of rash could be anything other than the drug. I would suggest you to consult Pediatrician for further assessment.
