What Are The Side Effects Of Mirena?

I had the mirena birth control put in in January and found out then that I have a cyst that the doctor said is leaking blood into my abdomen. I have not had a period since I had it inserted but today I passed a blood clot the size of a quarter and am in pain. Should I be worried ??

If that was just one clot and one episode, no need to worry then. But, if it happens quite often, then you should consult your gynecologist.

Mirena mostly causes breakthrough bleeding and/or spotting, change in menstrual periods. So its all this drug induced.
