Hello,

although metronidazole is OK for intestinal tract diseases, it's totally unacceptable as treatment for urinary tract infections. Perhaps you meant another antibiotic? Choosing antibiotic treatment depends on various factors so I can't really comment on this particular choice without knowing the details of your symptoms, their time-line and other aspects of your medical history as well like previous exposure to antibiotics etc.

A commonly prescribed antibiotic in combination with metronidazole is ciprofloxacin. Ciprofloxacin is a great choice for most cases of urinary tract infections. You can discuss with your doctor about it..

I hope you find my comments helpful!
Please get back to me if you'd like more information or any clarification.

Kind Regards!
