General & Family Physician 's  Response
Why you have been prescribed methylprednisolone you have not written here. Its common side effects are immunosuppression, myopathy, psychiatric disturbances such as depression, euphoria, insomnia, mood swings, personality changes, infections, impaired healing, high blood pressure, fluid retention, and peptic ulcer. These side effects are not seen in all patients. Although it has side effects, it is a very effective anti-inflammatory. It can be safely used for short term. Long term use is advisable in very low dose for severe inflammatory conditions. Nervousness is short term. You continue methylprednisolone as suggested by your doctor.
If you would have written more information about your problem, I could have suggested in detail. You can write later on.
I hope this information will help you. I will be happy if you ask another question
Thanks
