What Are The Side Effects Of Limbrel Prescribed For Herpes?

What is Limbrel and the side effects? Is it over the counter? Also what is the best over the counter medicine for Herpes? I get it on my lower lip sometimes and I do take Lysine for it. A tube of Zovirax is $750 from any pharmacy. And I understand Aciclovar is also effective and perhaps less costly. What are your thoughts about Cymbalta, Gabapentin and Low Dose Nalrexone for my peripheral neuropathy as I have Late Stages of Neuro Lyme? Thank you & Happy Thanksgiving. PLEASE DON T put me on a mailing list. Shannon

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Common side effects of Limbrel include:

nausea,
diarrhea, or
gas.

I would recommend using an over the counter option such an acyclovir ointment.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi,
