What Are The Side Effects Of Finasteride Tablets Prescribed For Hair Treatment?
FINABALD 1mg FINASTERIDE tablets is having any side effects as iam using it for hair treatment as directed by dermatologist.. Hi Sir, For hair treatment Dermatologist suggested to use the tablet- Finabald - Finasteride Tablets I.P 1mg Is there any side effects if use this tablet for hair Treatment ...? Iam asking you because on that tablet there is a Caution as : Crushed or Broken tablets should not handled by women who are or may become pregenant. In addition Since it is present in Semen Male patients Should wear a Condom or otherwise avoid exposure of female sexual partners at risk of becoming pregnant. Please suggest me is this tablet is correct for hair treatment and also please tell me is there any side effects ??? Please reply me asap...

Finasteride is a 5 alpha reductase enzyme inhibitor , which prevents the conversion of di hydro testosterone to testosterone. But this testosterone is more active and becoz of this excess testosterone many people will get baldness called male pattern baldness. In the patients with androgen induced alopecia also known as male pattern baldness, finasteride 1mg is used . Practically in this dose , it doesn't affect your fertility , and if you use for more prolonged time , that is more than years together will get side effects . Other wise no issues.
Your second question regarding sexual intercorse , it has nothing to do with , there will be no effect at all.
No need to use condom while you are using this pill. If u don't want your to become pregnant then you should use contraceptive methods.

Firstly understand Finasteride is drug which inhibits the enzymatic actions on androgen testosterone, and the tabs are film coated.. the reason behind coating is , finasteride can be absorbed throgh skin and if such broken tabs are handled by pregnant women on children, it may causes abnormalities in genitals of developing baby.. aand also some traces of the drug is found in semen, it is advised to wear condoms.. the drug is having some benifits and some side effects. Your doc prescibed these medication here considering that the benefit is greater than the lists of sideeffects therby the medication should be under your docs guidence.. take care and have disease free health...

Specifically, finasteride results in defects in the sex organs of male fetuses. Because of the severity of this side effect, finasteride is not recommended for pregnant women or those who could become pregnant in the future. The risk of this side effect is so great that premenopausal women are advised to not handle or come into contact with broken tablets of finasteride because it is not known for how long the medication stays in the body.
There are case reports of persistent diminished libido or erectile dysfunction, even after stopping the drug. Side effects in men can be persistent libido disorders, ejaculation disorders, orgasm disorders, and decreased libido. Kindly consult your doctor & discuss the alternative treatment options if available & based on the severity of your hair loss treatment can be considered.
