It is used for treating certain menstrual problems or uterine problems like secondary amenorrhea, abnormal bleeding and endometrial hyperplasia. Common side effects encountered with its use include: acne, changes in menstrual flow, dizziness, drowsiness, headache, hot flashes, nausea, stomach pain, weakness and weight changes.
