What Are The Side Effects Of Cypionate?

I got my blood and urine tests done, everything is alright. My testosterone level is 521 ng/dL. I am 30 years old. Although the testosterone is within the range but my doctor wants to give me testosterone shots (every week and for three to six months). The medicine he wants to use is called: Cypionate. Please suggest me if it has any side effects, should I go for it and will it affect the sperm count or make my body addictive to this medicine?

Hi,

Though testosterone does not cause addiction, however, if your levels are normal, then I don't think you would need the injection if otherwise not needed.

You should discuss with your doctor, he may tell you better as to why he wants to give you this, as there are other indications he may be giving it to you.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
