What Are The Side Effects Of Botox?

I had Botox for migraines one week ago and have been experiencing intermittent heart palpitations, but when they come on, they last a long time and almost feel like a weird rhythm (I'm an RN but have no knowledge about side effects of Botox). I have a hard time catching my breath and want to know if there's any correlation between the two or if I have to look at something else.

Thank you!

I read your question carefully and I understand your concern.

I do not believe that those symptoms are related to the Botox treatment, it doesn't cause such side effects, after one week. Most common side effects include muscle pain and stiffness, muscle weakness.

Most possible cause by your description would be anxiety which is commonly manifested by rapid heart beats and breathing difficulties.

I hope you feel better soon. I remain at your disposal for other questions.
