What Are The Side Effects Of Avastin Treatment For Eye Disease?
I have received one avastin injection in each eye for diabetic retinopathy, am to receive two more in each eye before laser treatment.
The first injection was 3 weeks ago and has left me with a small floater that I have been assured will go away. I believed the injection wasn't given deep enough as I jerked.
The doctor has really discussed nothing with me about dangers of treatment versus non treatment. Before eye exam I thought cataracts were causing the only problem of glare that I had noticed. I would appreciate any information and guidance available. Thanl you.

Hi. Locally in the eye Avastin can cause infection (rare), bleeding (rare), inflammation (very uncommon), elevation of the internal pressure of the eye (uncommon) and cataract formation acceleration .But The risk is very small compared to the benefits of Avastin injections into the eye. You should continue your Injektion and regulate your diabetes blood sugar levels.
