Hi, I have inadvertently been taking a double dose of Arava Daily i.e. 40 mg for two weeks. I have been feeling unwell. I discovered the anomaly this morning. Should I go for my monthly blood test today or go to the Doctors? many thanks Rossana Hywood

Thanks for asking at Healthcare Magic. I read your question and I understand your concern.
Arava 40 mg for two weeks has greater incidence of side effects compared to 20 mg or less.
Common side effects are diarrhoea, stomach upset, rash, focal hair loss, dizziness, liver injury
and rarely anemia.
I would like to advise you not to be much worried
just go for routine labs i.e Liver function tests, full blood count.
Hope it helps best
Take your best care
