Hi,

Anovate ointment contains phenylephrine, beclometasone and lidocaine that is used for the treatment of piles or hemorrhoids. It relieves the pain, swelling, itching and discomfort associated with passing of stools in people who suffer this problem in the anal area. This medication is also used to relieve pain after hemorrhoid surgery and inflammation of the anus and rectum.

Side effects of Anovate ointment are skin burn, skin irritation, itching, dry skin, redness of skin, burning, itching and irritation of the skin at the site of application, visual disturbances, symptoms of serious allergic reactions such as itching, rashes, swelling of lips, tongue, throat, face, hands or feet, wheezing, breathing difficulties, dizziness etc. These side effects are mild and self limiting. But, if these side effects persist for long or bother you, then you should consult your doctor promptly for medical attention.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
