What Are The Side Effects Of Amiodarone And Eliquis Medications?

I am now on Amiodorone and Eliquis for A-Fib/ with rapid ventricular responses (start 19Dec 2014) I now find that I have Not foamy but lots of bubbles in my urine, and it is definitely Yellow where It was mostly clear before my ER visit. Is this due to the meds or should I be concerned about kidney damage in progress?

Hi
Thanks for posting your query on HCM.
I appreciate your concern for the discoloration of urine.

Eliquis is a blood thinner used in patients with Atrial fibrillation to prevent the clot formation.
It is associated with discoloration of urine (dark yellow or brown).

The most common side effects seen with the use of Amiodarone include:
Constipation, discoloration of the skin, eye problems, thyroid disorder, lung problems.

So, the yellow color urine with lots of bubbles formation appears to be due to Eliquis. It is not associated with kidney damage.

Hope this answers your query.
