What Are The Side Effects Of Advil?

I had acl reconstruction and meniscus surgery on Thursday. I am off all pain meds except 2advil four times per day. My shin has pitted edema where the compression holds for at least 7seconds and I have been faint and dizzy all day sitting in a reclining chair with my leg elevated. What do you suggest?

Hi,

Advil contains ibuprofen which belongs to the group of medications known as non steroidal anti inflammatory drugs (NSAIDS) is used to relieve pain from various conditions like headache, dental pain, muscle cramps, muscle aches or arthritis. It is also used to reduce fever. Side effects of Advil are nausea, vomiting, GIT upset, headache, diarrhea or constipation, drowsiness, raised blood pressure, easy bruising or bleeding, dark urine, abdominal pain, ringing in the ears, vision changes, unusual tiredness, swelling ankles or feet, fainting, dizziness, allergic reactions etc. If these side effects persist for long or bother you, you should consult your doctor promptly for medical attention.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
