What Are The Risks Of Taking The Iron By IV During Pregnancy?

I am 20 weeks pregnant. I received a call from a nurse from my OB s office. They said my iron level is at 13. I am already taking 145 mg of iron orally. She stated I need to start iron treatments through IV immediately. What are the risks of taking the iron by IV? Could it harm my baby?

Hi, Welcome to Health care magic forum.
Iron therapy, is the main treatment in case of pregnancy. It may be oral , intramuscular, or intravenous. So far my knowledge is concerned there are no risks to the baby, because the extra iron is always excreted out.
Take more of green leafy vegetables, pulses, sprouts, and protein rich foods to supplement in a natural way.
Wishing for a quick and complete recovery. thank you.
