What Are The Risks Of Having An Abortion?

Hii i had a splenectomy two years ago and i wanted to know what the risks would be to hav an abortion this would be my second one, my first one was bfre my splenectomy. I am still experiencin low platlets after my splenectomy and a lil bit aneamic. What are the risks pls?

Hi... As such due to spenectomy you will not have any issues with pregnancy directly but as you have told you are anemic and platelet count is also low, these things should be taken care before last couple of months of your pregnancy.

In this type of case your haemoglobin level should be restored to as normal as possible before last couple of months as a preparedness for delivery where we expect some blood loss.
Platelets if its too low can be transfused before delivery.
Plan your delivery in a good equipped centre with blood transfusion facility to avoid any kind of complications.
