What Are The Risks Associated With Spinal Fusion Surgery?

How risky is having Spinal Fusion surgery? One vascular surgeon opens my stomach and 4 days later the orthopedic surgeon opens my back to repair the osteoarthritis damage in my back? I am 70 years old and not in great shape physically. I have not been able to exercise because of the pain down my left leg for a year.

Spinal fusion surgery usually causes stiffness, but the level of stiffness depends on the number of vertibra fused. the lesser the segment the lesser the stiffness, but if you are in pain, you have no other alternative to go besides surgery.
