Hi,

Paracetamol adult dose 1 g 3 to 4 times/day and Avil (Chlorpheniramine) 4 mg q 4 to 6 hr /day. You have to see whether your friend is exceeding the maximum doses of individual drugs i.e 6 g of Paracetomol and 2.4 mg of Avil per day. Overdose of Paracetamol may cause -Nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, diarrhea, anorexia, malaise, diaphoresis, confusion, low BP, cardiac arrhythmias, jaundice, acute renal failure, liver failure and Overdose of Avil may cause diminished mental alertness, ataxia, hallucinations, convulsions etc. It seems your friend is indulging in self-medication which is anything but advisable.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
