What Are The Red Spots Under Eyes And Redness In Throat?

Hello my son has recently had hand foot and mouth disease he was diagnosed with it 1wk and 2days ago but had a bad coughing fit last night and this morning has tiny red spots under his eyes.He is not eating well and his throat looks a little red .Can this be the hand foot and mouth flaring up again or something else ?thankyou

Hand foot mouth disease commonly causes ulcers in mouth/throat leading to sore throat and the coughing could be due to throat irritation.Treatment is supportive with enough fluids to prevent dehydration,salt water gargle.Cold liquids are found to be helpful in managing sore throat of this disease.
