What Are The Red Marks Under The Skin Of My Lip?

This is the 3rd time in 6 months that my lips get red marks under the skin, mildly swell and hurt. I also get dizzy and light headed and over all do not feel good each time. I have been given prednisone each time and it works but it take 2 cycles for it to clear.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

It seems like an allergic reaction to a substance you were using possibly a lipstick. Stop using it anymore so you can not experience symptoms anymore. Meanwhile, use cetirizine. If lips continue to swollen and swallowing difficulty occurs you can stop using it.

Hope I have answered the question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka,
