What Are The Reasons For Tightness In Chest, Lightheadedness, Shoulder Pain And Slightly Elevated BP?
Yesterday when my husband was exercising he got a little lightheaded and tight in the chest. He relaxed for a while and it went away, he also had a little arm achiness. today he is getting sharp pains in his shoulder that run down his arm but no lightheadedness or shortness of breath. He is in the tub, has had shoulder issues before and has only slightly high blood pressure. Should I be worried enough to take him in or make an appointment for tomorow? He has had a diagnostic checkup in November that was normal.
Tightness in chest duringg exetcise and it is releived after exercise is suggestive of involvement of heart. I would like to know that which shoulder and arm were involved-if it is left side then then the probability of angina is very high. In my opinion you should get an ECG done as early as possible along with lipid profile and get opinion of your physician to rule out the heart involvement. You should also observe that does this time shoulder pain is like before or it is of different kind- if it is just like before then probability of heart involvement will decrease but still you should follow the above mentioned advice.
