What Are The Precautions Necessary While On Cochlear Implant?

Hello there I am looking for an answer to a question I have . Thanks In advance for your time .

I am currently enrolled in a welding program . We have done smaw(positive/reverse polarity) , and tig ( running straight/ negative polarity currents )

I was implanted with one cochlear implant in 1996 .

Will tig welding with high frequency ac current be have any effects on my or my implant

Hi,Dear.Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC
Look Dear Arc and MIG welding do not pose a threat to the implant but you may hear interference.
You are supposed to remove the external parts to protect them from sparks.Otherwise there are no any harm to your implant while working with welding.Just take care to protect them from spark thats all.
