What Are The Possible Medication For Congestive Heart Failure And Emphysema?

My husband has 22 % EF. He has a defibrillator/pacemaker, and is on a ton of meds. He has congestive heart failure and emphysema. He is only 63 year old. The doctor did a stress test and said that there is no other treatment for him other than meds and doing what he is doing now. He is always tired and sleeps most of the time. Will he get better ever?

Hi
I read your query very carefully.

Unfortunately for your husband he suffer from severe heart failure and pulmonary emphisema which have a poor prognosis.

However there are some option such as resyncronisation therapy and heart and lung transplant, but i don't know if this is your husband case. other exams needed to see if this procedure may be proper for him.

Hope it answered to your query.
