What Are The Long Term Side Effects Of Asthalin?

Hi doc, my 4-year-old son often catches cold, cough and his chest gets congested. His doctor prescribes him asthalin syrup. Few people just said that asthalin was not good for kids. just wanted to know whether the medicine has some long-term side effects...thx

Hello Welcome to the HCM,
Since syp asthalin contains salbutamol ,its side effects can be restlessness,palpitation,decreased potassium (hypokalemia) tremors.
As all of these side effects are not repoted from everybody.Unless your child gets benefit from this syp without any side effect ,he can continue according to his treating doctor.If he gets alarming symptoms then alert the doctor promptly.
