There is no available scientific information on the drug. If your delay in periods has happened just this one time, you can take tab. Meprate 10 mg once daily for 5 days. You will get your periods in about a week after stopping the drug. But if your periods are always irregular, it could be due to hormonal imbalance caused by a metabolic syndrome called polycystic ovarian syndrome and you may have to get few blood tests done(glucose tolerance test, thyroid profile, prolactin ) for its complete evaluation and also discuss with your gynaecologist the medical options for getting regular periods. Do remember that maintain a normal body weight is the key to get regular periods and one must incorporate diet plan and regular exercise in their daily routine to achieve the same.
