What Are The Ill Effects Of Taking Cannabis?

Hi, I smoke a small amount of cannabis a couple of times a week, but recently i've been feeling as though i'm tripping out or high even when I haven't had anything. Sometimes I wake up in the night and I feel dizzy, numb, confused and unable to function properly, with terrible co-ordination; often I feel like I'm in a dream and that nothing around me is real. It's not a bad feeling, but it's very strange. I don't know if low blood pressure had anything to do with it, but I thought I'd mention that I sometimes have this, just in case.

Hello,

I understand your concern. Among side effects of cannabis are changes to the mind and the mood, such as: a distorted sense of time, random thinking, hallucinations, delusions, a change of the sense of identity and changed perception of reality.
Cannabis can stay in the system for weeks, and it's effects, even though usually last a few hours, can persist way longer than some users might expect. The time it takes cannabis to clear out of the body depends on many factors, such as the age, body fat and metabolic rate of the user.
So, yes, it is very probable that what you have been experiencing are lasting effects of cannabis. Your body is giving you clear signs that it cannot process weed smoking as well and as fast as you thought, so listening to these signs and reducing smoking or giving up altogether would be the sensible thing to do.

Wishing you good health and all the best.
