What Are The Ill Effects Of Elevated Liver Enzymes?

Hi, I have elevated liver enzymes and I want to know how serious it is. My GGT is 110, my AST is 206 and my ALT is 313. My bilirubin levels are normal. I was tested for Hepatitis, but they all look negative. Also, i rarely drink alcohol, I don't eat much red meat, and I am in a normal weight range. I am 32 years old. I have been living in abroad and just moved back to Canada. Can stress affect these levels? or moving from very different climates? I have also been getting hives, but i am not sure if this is just stress related or has something to do with this as well.

Hi there,

I'd cut out alcohol and tylenol, and all non-essential prescription medications. I'd also try to cut out fatty foods and see if this helps. Sometimes living abroad can cause this, but unlikely with a negative hepatitis panel. I'd also get checked for autoimmune hepatitis, as this could also be causing the elevation of your numbers.
