Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. It is true from the statistics that birth defects and genetic disorders are common in consanguineous marriages or marriages among close relatives. This is because, some of the genetic disorders existing as minor variants could be expressed in the next generation. But, it is very difficult to predict what could happen next as such defects are not always expressed. However, based on the blood group of both of yours, since Rh factor is +ve, it is compatible and should not cause any problem. But no other genetic defect can be made out or predicted by using blood group. In case you need to see any chromosomal defects existing, both of you can undergo karyotyping investigation and genetic counselling. Hope the information provided would be helpful. Hope for the best.
