What are the flashes in the vision after looking into a light source?

My 10 year old daughter told me that she has been seeing round flashes of color after she sees a light. It may be walking into day light, or looking at a ceiling light... Ophthalmologist 's  Response
Welcome to Health care Magic.

I reviewed your history. It seems from the history that your 10 year old daughter is having problem of seeing flashes and colored halos.
The common causes for this condition are high refractive errors with retinal thinning and corneal edema. This requires evaluation by a ophthalmologist to find out the underlying cause and treatment accordingly.

Hence I advice you to consult your doctor for examination and treatment accordingly.

Hope this is helpful to you.
Do write back to me for further questions.
