What Are The Findings From The Widal Test Of A 2.5 Year Old Child?

Hi doctor,
MY daughter 2,5 years old, the WIDAL test:
S.typhi O negatif
S.paratyphi AO,BO,CO negatif
S.typhi H negatif
S.paratyphi AH negatif
S.paratyphi BH 1/160
S.paratyphi CH 1/80

What does this mean? Is this typhus? Please your advice doc, thanks so much

Hi,

After Going through your daughter's widal test report. Her titre for BH is boderline and it does not suggest active infection by typhoid bacilli. However you consider a 5 days presumptive treatment with ciprofloxacin and cefexime. Dose should be adjusted according to her weight by a pediatrician.
