Iv had a cold for 2 weeks now and I lost my voice for a few days last week. But yesterday I kept having cough attacks where any time I took a deep breath I had issues breathing while coughing. But a friend of mine is getting over bronchitis and i was wondering if I got it?
Thanks for your question on Health Care Magic. I can understand your concern. In my opinion, you are mostly having post infectious bronchitis. It is very common after viral upper respiratory tract infection (URTI). So better to consult pulmonologist and get done clinical examination of respiratory system and PFT (Pulmonary Function Test). PFT is must for the diagnosis of bronchitis. It will also tell you about severity of the disease. And treatment of bronchitis is based on severity only. You may need inhaled bronchodilators and inhaled corticosteroid (ICS). Don't worry, you will be alright. First diagnose yourself and then start appropriate treatment. Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
