i had an an safe sex with a women on 16/7/11, its almost 6 months now i want to have HIV test i am tensed , but i have no symptoms of HIV such as Headache , fever, swollen lymph glands , weight loss more than 10% of my body weight , suggest me i am from Chennai India

Hello!
Not all persons infected with HIV will suffer the symptoms you described above.It is possible get infected and don't have any symptom in early stage after infection.

If you have reason to think that you might have been exposed to HIV infection (unprotected intercourse with unknown HIV status partners ) you should get tested for HIV.
You can run Antibody test(Rapid test) which is very simple test and you can take the result in the same day.

I suggest to get tested so you can rest your mind.
